World Lung Cancer Day
World Lung Cancer Day was recognised this month on the 1st August. Causing more deaths globally than any other cancer in both men and women, lung cancer often has no symptoms in early stages, and is usually caught too late. Early detection through simple screening is the best way to find lung cancer early, when it is more likely to be curable.
Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi’s multidisciplinary Lung Cancer Program offers screening to anyone at an increased risk for the disease. Screening is performed with a CT scan, which is fast, painless, non-invasive, and accurate.

Personalised Medicine Programme for Oncology
The first Personalised Medicine Programme for oncology in the region launched at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, paves the way for the future of healthcare. Using cutting-edge, artificial intelligence-based technologies, the new programme focuses its first phase on breast cancer patients across the emirate. It targets oncology diseases, building on the latest research and model of care to detect, diagnose and cure breast cancer patients, or reduce the risk or recurrence of the disease.
